Every year, MTE students can learn about metal casting through small, aluminum elephants made at the UA College of Engineering foundry. The year-long tradition commemorating our beloved mascot Big AL is just a small glimpse of the hands-on learning experiences offered through the MTE department.
Stop by the University of Alabama foundry to view the facilities, watch a live metal pour demonstration, and make your own creation to bring home! All are welcome!
